Honesty Hour:One of my biggest battles in life is the internal fight between my ambition - achieving my goals, but desping the journey getting there. Especially, when I made the decision to move to Chicago in pursuit of my masters degree in marketing, but later discovering my passion for wine making in the midst of wrapping-up my program. To later
internal battles has always been ambition - achieving my goals, but desping the journey, along the way. I don’t know who else suffers from this, but when things don’t go as planned or get delayed, I’d question myself - What is the purpose for this goal? Will I achieve it? Or Am I doing something wrong? Self doubt and fear were known to be buddies that had each other's back, in my head. For instance, in 2019 I sat-out to get my first job fresh out of college and start my business on the side, but then the pandemic hit and derailed everything in more ways than one. After countless hours of prayer/reflection, I finally asked God to remove the trail of confusion, stress, and anxiety, and he told me,
“the removal of the pain and trail is not the answer to your problem, embracing this part of your journey will bring the testimony of my glory in your achievement.”
With God’s direction, like everyone else during the pandemic season leaving 2020 behind walking in 2021 I wrote down my desires to move to California to launch Lexi Sangrias, but this year I prayed to embrace my ups and downs, and when I walked into 2022 as a new California resident. The profound journey from 2020-2021, led me to inspire anyone with a dream through AUTHENTICALLY HYPE!
AUTHENTICALLY HYPE, is a movement to encourage - the ambitious, creators, entrepreneurs, and anyone with a dream who is considering giving up on a goal. I am here to tell you, embrace those bad days, embrace your confusion, embrace your failures, embrace the pain because those emotions, those feelings are temporary, and you will not stay there. That hunger in your belly and the purpose of your heart will lead you to achievement, but your experiences, your tears and those moments when you felt during the journey will help and encourage the person behind you, leading you into your purpose.
Trust me, I am not done achieving yet, but while I am going through my ups and downs in my journey I’m going to encourage someone who needs to hear this!
